This is a nice fridge but it doesnt fit tall items like orange juice and soda. The highest shelf is too short. The door shelves dont fit anything tall either. You cant hardly get a pizza in the freezer because its divided. Other than that I really like it.

Bought this 3 months ago and compressor and other parts completely died while i was away. Lost everything in the fridge and freezer. Called whirlpool a couple of times as repair technician had to order parts in which was going to take a week. Asked whirlpool to send a new fridge or send me a loaner....there response "your request is declined"! So for the next 3 weeks as wrong part initially received, lived from a cooler which i had to buy ice daily to keep the limited food i could purchase safe! Very disappointed and will not recommend!

We bought this fridge 5 years ago we have had it serviced 3 times in the 1st year. They never could stop it from leaking water! So after the last tech covered my bathroom in human waste, yes that brown gross stuff nobody wants to clean, especially when they were kind enough to let them use their bathroom! I decided I would live with a towel on my floor. This fridge does not cool consistently freezes items in back no matter how you change the temp. Ice builds up on the bottom of the drawer freezer to the point it wont close (this is probably related to the water issue I mentioned earlier). We even went so far as to disconnect the water line to prove that was not the issue! So after fighting water on my floor, frozen food and the freezer not closing, the door breaks and doesnt want to close all the way! I will never own whirlpool in my house again. I have 3 problematic appliances in my house, one day I realized they were all whirlpool! Lesson learned.

I had regrets for buying this refrigerator almost immediately, but held up on reviewing to try and get used to to it. I should have chosen quality at the higher price. It is clear that this is an economy model and it shows. The storage listed is generous but in reality doesnt deliver, the layout and limited options for adjustable shelving is cause enough to not buy this unit. And then the ice maker and water dispenser stop working. After tryng all listed troubleshooting options, the repair tech tells me the reservoir that cant be accessed is frozen and blocking the lines so I have to unplug it for 24 hours to thaw. So after buying ice, and unloading all food, losing some, and generally a mess and time consumed, told that with this design, it will continue to happen, the reservoir freeze issue is not in the manual. No surprise this model is no longer available at Costco. Trying to exchange it now after 9 months, I am probably stuck with this regretable purchase.

This is exactly what I was looking for. A large freezer on the bottom and french doors on the refrigerator. The only small compalaint I have is the water needs to be colder from the dispenser. It's the perfect size for me!

Our refrigerator is less than 2 years old. Two months ago we finally connected the water line, however the water dispenser is not dispensing water, however the ice maker is working fine.
Other than that we like the unit.

I bought this fridge three years ago and have been having issues for nearly the last year! The fan in the freezer is obnoxiously loud to the point I cannot hear my TV. I have read many reviews of people having the same issue which must be a electrical failure and with this many similar experiences from other customers should be a recall issue! I have had to unplug my fridge, blow-dry the back wall about 5-6 times now, and after 3-4 days the LOUD sound returns. This is frustrating for a $2000 fridge that is only 3 years old! This is the first bad review i've left on something, but my frustration level has reached a peak! I wouldn't recommend this product unfortunately despite otherwise having good experiences with Whirlpool's products!

My fridge is having troubles similar to the many complaints described below. The fan gets louder and louder. My freezer has icicles and frost, and a repairman said I have a bad sensor and that there could be problems with the electronics board or with the water line. He estimated a cost of $340 but said it could be more once he investigates further. I'm going to get another estimate, but most places charge 60 to 80 dollars just to come take a look. The water dispenser on the door stopped working within the first year, but I just live without that feature. The "door open" warning stopped working too. The fridge is the perfect size for the space it occupies, and it has a handsome look I like, but I'm upset that I'll have to pay so much for a repair and (according to the many complaints) will soon have the same problem after a while. I bought all Whirlpool. products when I redid my kitchen but this model I'd not recommend. Since it is a problem with the model, I don't think I should have to pay so dearly to have it fixed.

Our fridge went into service in March 2014 and by June 2015 it had ground to a halt and required a repair of over $400 when the thermistor and electronics board failed. Today, April 29, 2019, the repairman was back and tells us the same two parts are needed again and will cost us $501.37. (The service call itself was almost $100.) Or I could just keep emptying my freezer every few weeks and defrosting it myself as I have done four times so far this year.
This is apparently a very common problem with this model as a read through reviews here and in Consumer Reports shows. The electronics that control the freezer defrost eventually fail, the freezer then frosts up and affects the fan - which begins to get louder and louder as the ice closes in on it. This is a design and hardware problem that should not be the consumer's responsibility to fix. I'm now in a quandary. Do I sink another $500 into this fridge, with no guarantee of how long it will continue to work, or do I spend even more money and replace a fridge that is just over five years old.
When it's working, the fridge is quite good. Good ice maker. Fair amount of space for a smallish fridge, and good lighting.

The doors started to show rust marks within a year and the freezer components now turn into solid ice making the fan unbearably loud. I had it professionally fixed but that only worked for 2 months. Now I need to buy a new fridge.

I bought this in 2013. I had to have someone come to repair the water line within the first year while still under warrenty. A couple years later, the freezer leaked for a reason i dont understand but had to pay someone to repair. The doors never shut well. Now, the door literally fell off. A new door is $450. So I just have to buy a new fridge. This thing was always giving me problems and kept costing me time and money. I wont buy whirlpool again.

Glad the water dispenser is separate from the icemaker. Every refrigerator that I had which included water and ice from that door had problems. Overall great design and we couldn't be happier with our fridge we bought three months ago.

Nice looking fridge but a few things I'm not thrilled about: water from dispenser comes out room temp, not cold...the larger drawer on the left keeps coming off track if I have more than 3 things in it...there's very little room for soda bottles or anything taller than 6"...the fridge has different coldness settings but never tells you the actual temp and I feel like it's not very cold, even in the highest setting
Pros: decent amount of room for a smaller fridge...the 3rd lowest drawer is a great design and help...I like the solid freezer bins and divisions vs my old one that had wire basket designs

Very hard to find a smaller refrigerator with modern features to replace my 35 year old whirlpool side by side (still worked well just upgrading kitchen), and pleased with this new unit. I do feel they have improved upon the old design in many ways. Time will tell if it holds up as well although I doubt I have another 35 years to test it out.

I bought this fridge which is smaller than the one it replaced but it is a better fit in the kitchen space. The fridge came w/o an ice bin and there is still plastic wrap around the handles where they were screwed on. The water dispenser works but the water is room temperature. The surface doesn't show prints like the old one did. I do not like the fact that you cant turn the fridge off from the inside with a knob or dial, you can only pull the plug. I also think the price was a little too high.

We purchased our Whirlpool Refrigerator in February 2017. Started using it in May 2017. We just learned today that the compressor is shot. We chose not to get the extended warranty because our previous refrigerator worked, without repair for 20+ years. The one year warranty is up and now we need to purchase a $1500 compress or buy a new refrigerator. Will we buy a Whirlpool? Not if they are not designed to last. Is planned obsolescence really two years?

I bought my new fridge for Black Friday and I like it very much! It has a hide away glass that allows taller objects like bottles to fit in. Lots of freezer capacity way more than my older fridge in approx the same size.

Purchased new motor home with this refrigerator in it, Nice refrigerator but not great in motorhome. Items slide around too much during travel. When opening door after travel items fall out because of sliding around. Need some method of holding stuff in place during travel.
