I have the fridge about a month,water filling and ice droppings inside icemaker is kinda loud it sounds like something dropped in the kitchen. Had to call the repair guy because ice would not drop out of the shoot after about a month and discovered there's a seal that is not smooth which is letting air coming in and melting of the ice in the shoot causing it to freeze up and won't let the ice come out.it took 3 days to make ice.

I bought this refrigerator in March 2025. I have not been able to level it and the door tops stay even. The right door stays open when needed but the left will not stay open. Three door shelves have cracked or completely broken. The door shelves are not level back to front and items slide forward.

H2o filter is built "too tight", doesn't work.

We had this Whirlpool fridge in the old model for the last 12 years in the ice maker finally went to kaput so we bought the new model from Best Buy in July 2025. After only one month the water from the dispenser got down to a trickle so I replaced the filter at $60 for the Whirlpool brand "EveryDrop". These filters are supposed to last 6 months. That filter lasted only two months so I bought another one again for $60. That one lasted only two weeks before the water got down to a trickle. I scheduled a Whirlpool repairman to come look at the fridge to see what was wrong. He immediately knew the problem and said the new filters have screens that are built so tight (.5 microns) that they don't let anything through and you have to replace them frequently. He recommended throwing that filter away and buying an "in-line filter" at 5 microns and installing it on the back of the refrigerator, noting that the old refrigerator model's filter was five microns. For my inline filter I purchased and insta pure filter for about $23 each which you plug right into 1/4" pex hose that is standard on the back of most refrigerators. This is where Whirlpool also wasn't "industry standard"; This refrigerator has a 5/16" pex hose that won't accomodate most filters. So, a trip to Home Depot for two 1/4" - 5/16" adapters and a roll of 1/4" pex hose for $20, I had to splice in some new 1/4" line to get the new in-line filter going. What a pain. You can run the fridge without any filter, but it tastes like plastic, so you pretty much have to put in a filter either in-line or $60 for a Whirlpool filter every few weeks. Design flaws all around.

I want to say that I did not choose this fridge. It was provided by the builder. Fairly quiet. Huge freezer. A little too big for us. Now the fridge part is way too small mainly shelf space. There is a huge ice maker device that takes up 1/4 to 1/3 of the top area inside fridge. Total waste of space. Not much door space either. The fruit and veggie drawers and deli drawers are a good size.

Purchase that refrigerator in mid May 2025 after my Lg failed, one week into delivery the unit was pooling water on the gasket and making loud noises, contacted whirlpool corporation they sent a service company out named Brandt appliances a total of six times with no fix . Then they sent Jetson Appliances out another four times still no fix and whirlpool is aware that the unit is poorly made and they do not ave a fix, then the customer service is terrible, they are rude and disrespectful after months i still do not have a working unit, all my food spoiled, they eventually sent a unit in Late October that was damaged. I refused delivery contacted Whirlpool letting them know the unit they sent is badly damaged with dent all over the doors, back and I™€™m requesting my money refunded again i was meet with goss disrespect. I had to purchase another unit from my local store and to date still no refund so I™€™m out $3,000.00 dollars. The unit would not freeze or turn on. Very terrible customer service. So please be weary and stay away from purchasing the unit.

I bought a new home appliances included from day one the refrigerator leaked all over the floor did not make water or ice. Plumber came water line was installed ok. He said something defective with the refrigerator. Ice maker had defective tube and ice maker needed to be replaced on a so called brand new fridge. I felt I should have received a new one they refused. I have been inconvenienced with service out here so far twice only for a third cuz the new ice maker was ordered. Unacceptable. Would never recommend or buy Whirlpool!
